Kumortuli, Kolkata.
Durgapur, an industrial city. The steel factory tower.
It’s been a while, and I had been away. Some heavy, monumental personal work took me to West Bengal, India. Kolkata and a nearby city, my second hometown Durgapur (after Bankura).
Foliage, memories and ruins. Durgapur.
CARMEL SCHOOL, Phuljore, Durgapur.
In my hometown, Durgapur I went down memory lane — my school (4th - 10th grade); CARMEL SCHOOL.
And some ruins (that are after 25 years!).
Ruins of a building that holds a lot of good memories.
While at Kolkata, we visited Park Street, College Street, James Princep ghat, Kumartuli.
Kumortuli (if you look up google) it’s a fascinating place! Some of the photos (although it was banned to shoot the kumors/pottery makers) I took a few barring them.
I am back now and begin a new short story, and it’s HUGE! I cannot reveal anything about it until it’s time. I am very excited to draw the story and it’s a dream opportunity! There are several festivities coming up. Navratri is around. I wish everyone good health, peace, and hope you get to spend this coming week with your loved ones. I for one is getting geared to get decked up in sarees! OOOOOH…Yeah…
See you around.
